About us

An event venue with a unique atmosphere and Art Nouveau style, featuring a beautiful grand hall and smaller rooms. Whether it's a gala dinner, wedding, conference, exhibition, theatrical performance, or roundtable discussion, the W17, located in the heart of the city and built in Art Nouveau style, will surely provide a worthy setting for your event. Discover one of Budapest’s most beautiful buildings! Located at 17 Wesselényi Street, this historic building features a first-floor grand hall of over 200 square meters, with original décor evoking the Art Nouveau style of the turn of the 19th–20th centuries. Its large stained glass windows were created in the workshop of renowned glass artist Miksa Róth. Adorned with mosaic decorations, ironwork, and a wrought iron flag holder, the building is one of the most beautiful public buildings in Erzsébetváros. Since 2021, it has been home to the Milestone Educational Institute and regularly hosts a variety of events — both organized by the Institute and by external renters.  

Services, opportunities

The Grand Hall, equipped with professional sound and lighting systems, can accommodate up to 180–200 people at once. In addition, W17 also features a larger workshop room (Grund), 5 classrooms, a library, and a charming inner courtyard. All of our rooms are well-equipped with various technical amenities: chairs with writing tablets, projectors, air conditioning, and high-speed broadband internet access is available throughout the entire building.

Accessibility

By Car: Easily accessible by car, but it's worth noting that Wesselényi Street is one-way toward the city center from the direction of Teréz Boulevard. Public Transportation: Wesselényi Street 17 is located in the heart of the city and can be easily reached by various forms of public transport. It's just a 4–5 minute walk from the Astoria stop on Metro line 2 or from the Wesselényi Street – Erzsébet Boulevard stop on tram lines 4 and 6, which run along the Grand Boulevard. Additionally, many buses stop on nearby Rákóczi Road, providing access to numerous districts in Budapest.
